Oral presentation Guidelines for UNIB’s postgraduate programs

This page tries to summarize the basic information to prepare and do the oral presentation of a Final Project (FP). Bear in mind that the FP final grade comprises the grade of the Research Report  (80% of the score) and the grade of the oral presentation (20% of the score).

The Final Project’s Oral Presentation is mandatory for some of the university networks. Consult the Panal whether you must comply with this requirement.

Students in Brazil or Angola from other programs who do not have to do an oral presentation but would like to go through the procces regardless -often for official purposes of diploma’s recognition- will be allowed to do an oral presentation. You can find more information about oral presentation for Brazil here, and for Angola here.

Below, there is a description of the entire process and recommendations intended to facilitate the oral presentation and its preparation.

1. Oral Presentation initial arrangements

The asynchronous Oral Presentation in the Virtual Multipurpose Room is recommended to UNIB students .

Access to the Virtual Multipurpose Room will activate automatically in the student’s PANAL once they reach the Final Task: FP Report Submission.

The Virtual Multipurpose Room does not need previous booking. In the exceptional case that there were too many students connected at the same time, students would be requested to try again after some minutes.

2. Oral Presentation in the Virtual Multipurpose Room (asynchronous)

In the asyncrhonous Oral Presentation, students record their presentation using the Virtual Multipurpose Room. Once they are satisfied with the result, the presentation is automatically sent to the Evaluation Committee, who carries an asynchronous evaluation.

Students can then access  the Virtual Multipurpose Room via  the icon in PANAL that activitates once they reach the Final Task: FP Report submission.  They can access the Room whenever they feel ready for their presentation, preferably after submitting the FP Report. In the exceptional case that there were too many students connected at the same time, students would be requested to try again after a few minutes.
